Mobile IV Therapy in Kuna, Idaho

Kuna began as a stop on the road between Boise and the mines at Silver City: a stage station called 15 Mile House, the first settlement here. In 1882 the Oregon Short Line’s crews set up a work camp of 100 people where the Silver City road crossed the railroad right-of-way and gave it the name Kuna, and the first passenger train ran in 1883. The name is often translated as “the end of the trail,” though the writer Charles S. Walgamott traced it to a Shoshone word for a green leaf good to smoke. Water changed the town when the New York Canal opened on February 22, 1909; the Kuna Savings Bank, the Kuna Hotel and Fiss Mercantile followed, and Kuna incorporated on September 15, 1915. About 24,000 people live here now, 18 miles southwest of downtown Boise, with Indian Creek running through town and the Kuna Caves lava tube to the south.
