Mobile IV Therapy in Caldwell, Idaho

Caldwell was staked out on a sagebrush flat. In 1883 Robert E. Strahorn, choosing a route for the Oregon Short Line Railroad, rejected the steep grade into Boise and drove a stake about 30 miles west, into alkali ground grown over with greasewood. The town was platted that August and named for his business partner Alexander Caldwell, a former senator from Kansas; within four months it had 600 people, 40 businesses, a school, a telephone exchange and two newspapers. The Ada County commissioners incorporated it on January 15, 1890, the College of Idaho opened in 1891, and in 1892 Caldwell became the seat of the new Canyon County. Irrigation canals turned the valley into farmland, the depot went up in 1906, and in 2009 the city uncovered Indian Creek downtown and gave it bridges and walkways. About 60,000 people live here today.
