What to expect
Your visit, step by step
During your infusion
Your nurse sets the pace of your infusion to your comfort. Some people notice flushing, warmth, nausea, or tightness in the chest or stomach while it runs; these usually ease quickly when the drip is slowed. Your nurse can also add an anti-nausea medication.
How long it takes
Plan on 1.5–2.5 hours for a first 500 mg session: a little less for 250 mg, and longer for higher doses. First sessions tend to take the longest, and later ones are often shorter as your body gets used to NAD+.
Breaks and vitamins
You’re free to take a restroom break partway through. You can also add vitamins from our menu to the same bag.
Your first visit
First NAD+ visit? Plan to start earlier in the day, so there’s enough time to safely complete the full infusion before the clinic closes.

About NAD+
Since 2020 in San Diego
NAD+ is a coenzyme found in every cell and made from vitamin B3 (niacin). It helps your cells turn food into energy (ATP), and natural levels decline with age. ASAP IVs has offered NAD+ infusions in San Diego since 2020. Each infusion is given in a 1-liter bag of IV fluids. We also offer NAD+ as an intramuscular injection, in 50 mg and 100 mg doses, at our clinic locations.
