North County's IV Clinic
North County's coast towns grew up along one railroad. The California Southern began laying track north from National City in 1881, and on January 2, 1882 it opened service as far as Fallbrook Junction, just north of Oceanside. In 1887 the company built a depot in Encinitas. A year later a second line linked Oceanside to Santa Ana, and the coastal route, later called the Surf Line, became the only railroad into San Diego from the north. In Del Mar the tracks were moved onto the seaside bluffs in 1910 because the grade was gentler there. The old Encinitas depot still stands: it was moved to 510 North Coast Highway and now serves coffee. Coaster commuter trains still stop in Encinitas, Carlsbad and Oceanside, and North County's ASAP IVs clinic is on the same coast road, at 90 N Coast Hwy 101 Ste 211.

Our Encinitas clinic is our North County clinic, serving Carlsbad, Oceanside, Leucadia, Cardiff, Solana Beach, Del Mar and Rancho Santa Fe, and inland towns such as San Marcos, Vista and Escondido.

- Book at least 1 hour ahead; every booking is confirmed by our staff. Walk-ins are available on a limited basis.
Doctor-founded care, delivered by registered nurses. Please arrive on time. Arrivals more than 30 minutes late can be rebooked the same day or incur a $25 no-show fee.

- Come to us if you are already near the 101 and want a chair in a clinic. Book the Encinitas clinic.
- Stay home if you would rather not drive. A registered nurse comes to you, daily 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Coastal towns along the I-5 use the coastal North County calendar; Vista, Escondido, San Marcos, Rancho Bernardo and Poway use the inland North County calendar.
