Mobile IV Therapy in Winstead Park, Boise

Winstead Park takes its name from the city park at its center, 11 acres on West Northview Street that the City of Boise bought in 1965. Most of the houses around it went up in the same era, many between 1940 and 1969, with more added from the 1970s through the 1990s, and the park is still the neighborhood’s front yard: open fields for team practices, tennis courts, a covered shelter, a walking path, and hours when dogs can run off-leash. The city’s Arts & History collection even keeps a photograph titled “Winstead Park in Winter” among the Gordon S. Bowen papers. The newest landmark is on the corner of Curtis Road and Fairview Avenue, where Boise artist Jay Rasgorshek painted a mural of Northern Flickers, the red-marked woodpeckers that live in Winstead Park, and a Cooper’s Hawk that stays hidden in the morning and appears when the afternoon sun hits the wall.
