Mobile IV Therapy in Cardiff-by-the-Sea, California

Cardiff-by-the-Sea is the beach town at the south end of Encinitas, with the Pacific to the west and a beach and lagoon to the south. The Kumeyaay lived here first, and the MacKinnon family made the first settlement in 1875. In 1909 Boston developer J. Frank Cullen bought land from them and sold lots for $30 each. His wife Esther, who came from Cardiff, Wales, persuaded him to name the town after her home and to give its streets British names such as Birmingham, Oxford, Chesterfield and Manchester. Victor Kremer, a music publisher turned film producer, later laid out the Composer District, twelve streets named for musicians. Houses filled in between the 1920s and the 1950s, and Seaside Market opened in 1985. A year later Cardiff joined Leucadia, Olivenhain and Encinitas to form one city, though it kept its own ZIP code, 92007.
