Mobile IV Therapy in Camelback East, Phoenix

Camelback East is one of the 15 urban villages that make up Phoenix, the east side between Piestewa Peak and Camelback Mountain, bordering Paradise Valley and Scottsdale. Its story starts with water. Work on the Arizona Canal began in 1883, and in 1884 the crews reached a 20-foot rock drop near today’s 56th Street, left it in place and let the water fall over it. Arizona Falls later gave Phoenix its first electricity. The resort years came next: the Arizona Biltmore opened on February 23, 1929, designed by Albert Chase McArthur with Frank Lloyd Wright advising on its textile blocks, and William Wrigley Jr. built his winter mansion on a knoll nearby between 1929 and 1931. Thomas Mall, the city’s second indoor mall, opened here in 1963. Today the village has two cores, 24th Street and Camelback and 44th Street and Van Buren, with Arcadia and the Biltmore area among its neighborhoods.
