Mobile IV Therapy in the Biltmore Area, Phoenix

The Biltmore area is named for the resort at its heart. Brothers Warren and Charles McArthur, with John McEntee Bowman of the Biltmore Hotel chain, built the Arizona Biltmore near 24th Street and Camelback Road, then the edge of Phoenix; three crews worked around the clock, and it opened on February 23, 1929. A third brother, Albert Chase McArthur, was the architect. Frank Lloyd Wright spent four months on site advising on the textile-block system, which is why the building is so often credited to him. Chewing-gum magnate William Wrigley Jr. became sole owner in 1930, and Ronald and Nancy Reagan honeymooned there in March 1952. After a fire in June 1973, the hotel was rebuilt in about 90 days. Biltmore Fashion Park opened on 31 acres along Camelback in 1963 as the city’s first luxury shopping center, and the name spread to the homes, hotels and offices around it.
