Mobile IV Therapy in Weitz, Idaho
Weitz is a name on the U.S. Geological Survey’s Notus map more than a town: a rural spot in western Canyon County about two miles east of Greenleaf, west of Caldwell. It has never had a census count of its own, so its story is its neighbors’. Greenleaf, just west, was founded by Quakers in the early 1900s and named for the poet and abolitionist John Greenleaf Whittier; Greenleaf Friends Academy still teaches there, and the town counted 812 people in 2020. A few miles farther west, Wilder was established in 1919 and named for the magazine editor Marshall P. Wilder. It sat at the end of a railroad branch line and had 1,597 residents at the 2020 census. Its library hangs photographs of Wilder from 1900 to 1925 in the lobby, and just outside town a small estate winery raises Kerry Hill sheep among the vines.
