Mobile IV Therapy in Riverside, Idaho

Riverside is a small unincorporated community on the Canyon County bank of the Snake River, about three and a half miles southeast of Marsing at roughly 2,280 feet, with Owyhee County across the water. Before bridges, this reach of the river was crossed by ferry. The Froman Ferry started running about 1887, some two miles downstream of where the Marsing bridge stands today, and the Henderson Ferry worked the river upstream; settlers’ children went to a Bedford Cabin school between the two crossings and later to the Eidson School. In 1909 the Gem Irrigation District began delivering Snake River water to the Marsing area. A few miles upriver, near Givens Hot Springs, the Map Rock Petroglyphs were listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982, and today the river itself is part of a 206-mile water trail from Three Island Crossing in Idaho to Farewell Bend in Oregon.
